Velvix Launches first California slot games at Rolling Hills Casino and Resort
The first of Velvix’s slot games in California have gone live at the Rolling Hills Casino and Resort in Corning, California. Launched on Wednesday, October 26th, the titles include the group’s premier link jackpot games ‘BaoBao King’ and ‘Gazillion Zone’.
Just off the back of G2E 2022 in Las Vegas, these launches represent the first ‘go-live’ for both game titles in the American market. Prior to the machines opening for players, a visible queue formed, with anxious customers waiting for their chance to try these brand-new titles. The games are housed inside Velvix’s curved cabinet, ‘CurlX’.
Chris Wieners, Managing Director of Velvix, added: “The launch at Rolling Hills Casino and Resort represents a major milestone for our company. I cannot thank the property team enough for their support and assistance in getting our first progressive games on the floor. The interest shown by players is exciting for the entire team – we are looking forward to feedback in the coming weeks and future placements with the team at Rolling Hills.”
‘BaoBao King’ is a game themed after several characters from the Chinese zodiac, including the Dragon, Phoenix, Tortoise and Tiger. Each game offers its own unique free game feature, with the star feature being the ‘Battle Feature’ in which players go head-to-head to win credit prizes. The unique feature creates a sense of engagement between players, visibly showcased when the first battle was triggered only minutes after launch.
‘Gazillion Zone’ includes multiple themes featuring miners, fairies, secret agents and even monkey pirates. Players collect medallions throughout the base game, with 25 collected triggering the bonus game. The bonus game includes a board game where the player is given three rolls of the dice for a chance to collect credits, free dice rolls and other items in an attempt to reach the jackpot wheel feature at the end of the board.
